Why does my ego prevent me from accepting that I'm the root cause for the everlasting cycle of my own failures?
Your ego doesn’t prevent you from accepting it. It’s not true, it’s a silly idea, nonsense. Your ego is exactly what is telling you that you are the root cause for the cycle of your failures, as well as that there’s such a thing as failure.
What is a failure? It’s just an idea, a judgment you pass on yourself, nothing else. You may see yourself as a failure, but I see you as a living, breathing human being who is perfectly successful at living, not any less or any more successful than I am. We’re both breathing, aren’t we? So that part of you which sees failures where there aren’t any, the constant self-judgment and comparisons to other people is your ego.
Your only problem is that you believe it.
