Does the mind control the brain?
In a way. The mind is part of the brain, it exists in it, and it can be said to hijack the brain and make it experience a lot of things that are not needed for your survival and completely irrational (for example, social anxiety, jealousy, shame, paranoia). It can make you do stupid things that are completely irrational, too, for example, suicide.
An apt anology would be a known parasite that lives in an ant’s brain, making the ant climb to the very top of a grass strain, so that a cow is more likely to eat it, because the cow is the continuation of its life-cycle.
The ant in this example is you, the parasite is the mind, and the continuation of the life-cycle of the mind is how we socialize children to be well-adjusted to the society of minds, hurting them without knowing it.
