The world is not unreal and the mind is not unreal. The mind creates dreaming, and dreaming is unreal, but it is believed to be real, which makes it real in the very literal, practical sense. Just like when you’re dreaming at night, it’s real for you. Only in the morning you can tell.

So the way you perceive reality is a mixture of real and unreal, the dream. Spirituality is a method for separating the dreams from reality. When the mind doesn’t dream anymore, only reality remains.

“The world is unreal” refers to the dream part of the mixture, but because the mind is so confused, often taken for and believed to be applicable to the world itself.
