Has anyone achieved enlightenment in recent history (last 100 years)?

Yes. Osho, Maharishi, Papaji were all completely enlightened beings. There is absolutely no difference between their state of consciousness and level of clarity and that of Gautama Buddha. Others are also known, many more are completely unknown. Most people who are teaching now though are nowhere near that. They can’t imagine the depth of surrender of these sages, so they tend to say “ah, it’s all so personal”. No, there’s nothing personal about enlightenment, it’s completely impersonal.

Here’s a simple test. Read Osho. For as long as some things that he says sound like his personal opinion to you, and not obvious truth, there’s more. The things that don’t “resonate” as people like to say now, are just the things that you’re not getting yet. Some examples of such things:

You cannot love before you die

Only ugliness can remember beauty

My love is cold, it has not a drop of passion in it, because I have not a drop of hatred in me

Suffer the pain of your aloneness

Your emotional body must dissolve

After enlightenment, your Being starts to hurt you

In my vulnerability, I have become invulnerable

If I see your absence, or I dream of your absence, there’s no difference

My body and my spirit are now one

Not getting it, hehe? Then there’s more!
