I have been diagnosed with ADHD. How can we prove to the general public that ADHD is real?

Nothing in your experience of life is made up until it’s seen to be. ADHD, as well as depressions, anxiety, and all other mental disorders are just manifestations of the dreaming mind. But it doesn’t mean they’re not real. They are as real as it gets. Only when something is seen as an illusion it disappears. Your ADHD can, as well, disappear also, with time and spiritual practice, but wishing it away does not make it so. I’m glad you’re not trying to.

What is much more important here isn’t whether it’s made up or not, but that you feel the need to convince others that what you’re experiencing is real. Drop that need. You know it’s real because you’re experiencing it - there’s no question here. It’s not up for debate, not up for others to question. Own it. This is your experience of life, and other people will never understand you. The best you can do is be open with them about how it is for you, and those who truly love you will accept it. Don’t embark on the quest to make the whole world (“the general public”) see and accept you - this is a delusional direction for you now. Work on accepting and loving yourself for however it is you are, nothing else is needed. Don’t confuse self-love with demanding love and acceptance from others. Love yourself, don’t fight with others for their love.
