Is the Buddhist Sunyata/emptiness the same thing as Brahman from Advaita Vedanta?

Yes, more or less. But it’s very different from finding and identifying with consciousness/awareness/stillness, which can be also said to be “empty” because it is devoid of any attributes, or said to be Brahman because it feels like it’s the only thing that’s real and everything else is not.

Finding Brahman and becoming one with Brahman isn’t the same thing. That’s the source of much confusion in people who found stillness as the foundation, but think they realized Shunyata or Brahman. All waves must cease into that stillness.
