Can one give spiritual advice without coming across as if they think they're better or wiser?

The key words here is “coming across”. The perception that they are better, wiser, or more “enlightened” than you is coming from you. Enlightened people never perceive other people this way, and this is the major difference.

When someone gives you advice, it will either completely fall flat on you, or it will stir something inside of you. Don’t listen to anybody’s advice, but listen closely to what it stirs. Maybe it makes you angry that someone thinks they know better than you how you should live your life? Or that they think they are better than you? Good! Admit that anger and let it be.
