Is enlightenment like your thoughts vanish into understanding?

You could say so, yes. Although enlightenment is not an experience, it’s a long process of separating truth from falsehoods. Once something is seen and understood, it is no longer thought of, there’s no need. In the process though, obsessive thinking about each new insight is fairly normal, but it always subsides with time. In the end of it, you don’t think about it. I spend more time thinking what to have for dinner than what to write in my answers. I write them without thinking. I often times proofread them, but I very rarely have to stop and think what to say or how to say it.
