Is indifference the opposite of love?

Love knows no opposite. Maybe only death appears to be the opposite of love, until it is known that love and death are the same thing. Death is the birthplace of love, it’s the bedrock of it.

But love, as it is commonly used as a term, is not true love, it’s clinging. It’s the desire to possess something for yourself, out of delusion that it will make your life better. The opposite of this desire is hate, not indifference, and all opposites appear together. That’s why there’s an observation that love can quickly turn into hate, and that’s why there’s passion in such love. This passion is unacknowledged hate.

Indifference is not the opposite of love, it only appears this way, because indifference hurts the ego by rejecting its demand to be loved, which is in reality just a demand for acknowledgment and validation.

True love does not place demands, and in this way, it is itself indifferent.
