What is consciousness? Can you show it to me? You certainly exist, so maybe what you’re really asking is “Will I still exist after death?” Now if you think about it, it’s a silly question, because I bet you define death as the end of your existence. So will you exist after the end of your existence? Hm, no.

So live totally and completely. Experience whatever you want to experience, ’cause you won’t get a second chance.

Now having said that, if you feel like there’s consciousness and there’s you, separate from each other, it’s not actually supposed to be that way and this gap can be bridged. It’s called spiritual enlightenment, and it pretty much erases questions like yours. There are different methods to do it, but none are the substitute to living totally. While you’re pondering what’s gonna happen to you after you die, you are simply wasting your time.
