Does science hinder spiritualism?

No, but philosophy, pseudo-science and spiritualism hinder spiritualism. Psychology is a combination of pseudo-science and philosophy, so it does, too.

Psychologists, psychiatrists and philosophers don’t know themselves, but pretend to understand themselves. If you believe them, you will pretend to understand yourself also. Spirituality is about knowing yourself, not understanding your dreams.

Science is just about what’s out there. If you drop an apple it will accelerate towards the ground at a specific rate, whether you’re a Buddha or not. You don’t strictly need to know this rate to be happy, but how can it hurt? It’s useful knowledge. Science can only be misleading if you think the more you know, the happier you will be. Which is why psychology and philosophy are most misleading - they can give you the illusion of knowledge. But if you’re just curious or practical with science, that’s fine.
