Dogs are exceptionally friendly with me, but it’s simply because I love them and I’m not afraid of them at all. They are smart creatures and they pick up my friendliness and relaxed body language. This was a big change for me, for I have never owned a dog, but I think any experienced dog lover who’s been around thousands of dogs, loves them dearly and feels completely at ease with them all the time will get absolutely the same results regardless of his state of consciousness.

Wild animals are much more cautious of humans - we are big, weird and scary to them. Obviously they will be less scared if you are quiet, relaxed, and don’t have any anxiety or jitterishness around them, but in practice it doesn’t make much difference. I have had unusually close encounters with wild animals, but again, any professional wildlife photographer would probably beat me.

Enlightenment is not magic, it’s truth. Truth can seem like magic at times, but it’s only because the lies were so painful to carry.
