There’s no such thing as an enlightened soul. If after awakening/self-realization there remains to be a soul (and there usually does), then its destiny is to be truly crushed in enlightenment, but it doesn’t happen instantly, it would be too much to take. Self-realization is already a lot to take. So, it can take many years, and it depends on your willingness to experience the remaining pain and suffering of the soul.
