The magnificence of the human mind

Read original publication

The human mind is the most magnificent creation of nature on this planet. It is capable of extraordinary feats, extraordinary creativity. It is vastly intelligent, more so than the mind of any other living being here. But it is also capable of creating the most intense levels of misery, sorrow, violence and aggression. It is capable to turn on itself, to hate itself, to become self-rejecting.

It creates lies and believes in them. It wallows in imagination. It clings to its illusions and delusions, it is never satisfied with the past, it is always afraid of the future. It dreams. When the human mind faces reality, it explodes. It melts into a panic, it becomes filled with fear. It lived in its own dreams for so many years!

The human mind is the obsession of our culture, all of its creativity and expression are a song to it. There is nothing we are more obsessed with than our own mind, because we do not know the true potential of it.

When the mind stops dreaming, it does not lose its potency for creation, it does not lose its ingenuity, it never loses its curiosity. It acquires a tremendous clarity, tremendous purity of perception, tremendous intelligence. It becomes still, but not dull. Restful, but observant. Perfectly functioning, perfectly perceiving, nothing to add, nothing to remove.

It becomes the magnificence of sentience itself, it becomes perfection. Still and silent, yet potent and available. It becomes a tool of extreme precision. Always learning, but always restful when rest is needed. Always clear, never disturbed.

The magnificence of the human mind is tremendous, it is breathtaking! Only in enlightenment it reaches its true potential. It hides all secrets from you in its deep ocean of the unconscious. If you are brave enough to take the journey, if you are open, its magnificence will be revealed to you.
